Sloppy Joe Pie

½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
1 onion or 1/8 cup minced onion
optional ¼ cup green pepper or celery
2 T ketchup
1 T Worcestershire Sauce

½ cup Whole Wheat Biscuit Mix
1 cup milk
2 eggs

Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Brown ground meat with salt, pepper, onion and pepper.  Cook until onion and pepper are cooked and meat is done.  Drain

Stir in ketchup and Worcestershire  sauce (I have to look up the spelling on that every time!)

Spread in a pie plate or similar sized casserole dish.

In a separate bowl stir biscuit mix, milk and eggs with a wire whisk.  Pour over meat in pie plate.

Bake this at 400 degrees approximately 25 to 30 minutes.    It is done when a butter knife comes out clean.

Serve this with a veggie on the side.

Adaptations – Layer a cup of your favorite veggie over the meat and make it a one dish meal.

Let your kids add ketchup to the top.
